The first menstruation marks the beginning of a new phase of life – a powerful and meaningful moment that has been celebrated in many cultures since ancient times. During this ceremony, we honor the transition from girl to young woman with gentleness, knowledge, and connection.
Back to all ceremoniesIn a safe and loving setting, we create space for young women (between the ages of 11-14) to get to know their bodies, understand their cycle, and feel supported by the women around them.
The ceremony is designed for mother-daughter duos and also invites mothers to relive, honor, or rewrite their own menarche story – together with their daughter.
This ceremony is an intimate and powerful moment of connection between mother and daughter – a memory that stays and helps celebrate womanhood from the very beginning. What can you expect?
- Educational circle about the female body, hormones, and menstruation
- Open conversation about cycles, hygiene, and self-care
- Red tent ritual where the girls receive their initiation
- Intentions, wishes, and symbolic gifts from the mothers
- A shared circle about womanhood and the wisdom that comes with it
- Closing with treats and togetherness
