Hi, I’m Nash Mosan ❤

How wonderful to meet you! I’m Nash Mosan Schuiling. I’m a mother to a beautiful son, happily married for almost 15 years to the love of my life, a daily yoga student, doula, postpartum practitioner, holistic womb therapist, and breathwork coach.

How did I end up here?

When I was very young, I was terrified of being around women. “Women aren’t reasonable…” they said. “Women can be different every day, so you never know what to expect.” Days of bleeding, emotions flying in all directions. Be and work like a man, they are stronger and more stable.

Growing up in a Christian household, full of shame about my feminine body and sexuality. In church, girls were raised to marry as young women, and married women were expected to be obedient and considered inferior to their partners. Whenever my emotions became visible, I was considered weak for letting that happen. “Can you please stop crying now?”

What is womanhood?

I was raised by a strong mother, a strong grandmother, and strong aunts. Women who had much power around them. This created contradictions. On one hand, there was the Christian church with its ideas about womanhood, and on the other hand, these strong women who were supposed to be my example of what it means to be a woman.

This became the catalyst for me to investigate what womanhood actually means. Should you be tough and strong or weak and soft? Should you only work with your head or work from the heart? All kinds of questions that became the foundation for my further life’s work.

My deep dive into womanhood

In my youth and adolescence, I was a real tomboy, locked in a sexy feminine body. The girls were usually jealous of me and most boys wanted only one thing. This kept me afraid of my own feminine power for years. Because I was afraid of my own body for a long time and found it scary to get to know my own feminine power, this became something I wanted to investigate later in life. I decided to take a deep dive into what it means to be a woman.

The birth of my son

The birth of my son was a unique event in this transformation. Weeks before the birth, I was blessed by several women in my community, and his birth itself was the initiation into my womanhood. When he came into this world, my own birth and that of all the women in my family line played out before my eyes. I felt so connected to my inner goddess.

Through this life-changing experience, it became clear to me that I am only here on earth and may do this sacred women’s work thanks to all the women who have paved the way before me. It was an important step in the search for what it means to be a woman.

Teacher and student

In this process, I have been able to guide many women and teach. However, a teacher never stops being a student. I am grateful for every woman I encounter on this journey who crosses my path and for all the teachings of our mother earth. Because this is ultimately where we all come from and return to.
